Below are a few useful directories that you can use to help children and families access resources in our community. As always, please reach out to your Coordinator if you need help locating resources for your case.

United Way 2-1-1 United Way 211 provides citizens with health and human services information. Clients can request help through United Way 211 and be referred to local, community services that are available to meet your needs. United Way 2-1-1 serves Bryan, Chatham, Effingham, Liberty Counties. Clients will work with a live, knowledgeable, trained operator who can refer you to community services during Monday-Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. HERO Database The Heath Effective Resource Organizations Database is managed by the St. Joseph's/Candler African American Resource Center. This database was created to empower low income persons to Be Their Own HERO by having access to resources that they need. HERO contains over 800 community resources in Chatham County. You can search the HERO Database at: http://www.herohelpme.com
Mental Health Referrals The Georgia Crisis and Access Line is a 24/7 hotline for mental health crisis intervention and referrals to mental health, and substance use disorder treatment service providers. Call 1-800-715-4225. You can search the Crisis and Access Line Database at: http://www.mygcal.com/
Help Applying for Public Benefits Step Up Savannah organizes 7 community sites where families can get help applying for SNAP, CAPS, TANF, Medicaid, and WIC. Click here to view a flyer with location information.
